how to order our goodies

from politics to pastry LLC is a fully licensed and insured home-based bakery in Alexandria, Virginia, operating under Virginia cottage food laws. We are a tiny but mighty company of one, serving the greater Washington, DC area. All of our items are processed and prepared without state inspection and are not available for resale or shipping. For our food orders only (not for our classes, which do not incur sales tax), Virginia sales tax of 1% is already included in all advertised pricing.

weekly menus

Our sales are by pickup (we share exact address with you upon order confirmation, but pickup is in Alexandria, VA near Alexandria City High School) and scheduled delivery for a small fee. We release a weekly menu just about every week. You can place orders for pickup that Friday-Saturday by emailing us.

Payment must be contactless (Venmo and PayPal preferred). There is a minimum total order of $20.00, and you can mix and match items sold by the dozen at the same price point.

Have to satisfy your fix for Biscotti with your morning coffee and tea? Need a special occasion cake or goodie bags? NO PROBLEM! We can do it. ALL YEAR ROUND. Email us and let us know how we can help with anything on our Baked Goods page. Custom orders have a minimum order total of $30.00 per recipe, and we require at least a week’s advance notice.
